Àclèaf Awarded Four AA Rosettes
Àclèaf Restaurant at Boringdon Hall has been awarded Four AA Rosettes, adding to their MICHELIN plate recognition, and continuing the reign as Plymouth’s highest rated restaurant. The AA, which has been awarding Rosettes to restaurants since 1956, only awards the prestigious accolade to ‘top restaurants in the UK where the cooking demands national recognition’. This now makes Àclèaf the only 4 Rosette Restaurant in Devon.
A showcase of inventive British fare, using the finest locally sourced ingredients, Àclèaf is a unique dining experience exclusive to Boringdon Hall where Scott Paton’s seasonally led signature four-course menu takes centre stage. To complete the dining experience, paired wine flights perfectly matched to each individual dish are available.
Scott’s concept of true hospitality shines through at Àclèaf as guests are introduced to a dining style which allows produce to be cooked honestly and served simply. The dishes and produce have a maximum focus on each individual element, all building and working together to highlight the main ingredient but keeping Àclèaf’s playful elements and nostalgic influence.
With a strong focus and passion on sourcing quality produce, Head Chef Scott Paton expresses his delight with the excellence of Àclèaf being recognised. “When you have world class ingredients, they become the inspiration. We take those ingredients, with what is in season and what is exceptional, and add our unique touches. The journey of a dish begins with a collaboration of ideas; sometimes it comes from one person who gets a spark of inspiration, and you see their eyes light up, other times it can go back and forth for several concepts until the dish is just right. As the team have grown together, we’ve been able to source world class ingredients, and our sympathetic approach has allowed the produce to shine.”
Having launched in 2020, and despite global challenges, Àclèaf has grown from strength to strength, positively positioning itself as a reputable dining destination within the UK, all with the help of Scott’s hand-picked culinary team.
When asked how the new accolade will affect the team, Scott says, “It will further spur them on and encourage them. We’ve been working towards goals like this since opening (with a few disruptions!) and ultimately day-to-day it is a joy to be able to welcome guests into the restaurant and share Àclèaf with them.”
We are absolutely delighted to be awarded a fourth rosette and would like to thank Scott Paton and his team of talented, dedicated chefs for such a great achievement.
